Apple iphone 6
Apple shifted iPhone launches from summer to fall in recent years, but one thing has otherwise remained constant: Consumers always line up around the block on a Friday, but that could be changing this year.
MacRumors has reported that Apple may be planning to reveal the forthcoming iPhone 6 at a media event on Tuesday, September 16, but has tentatively staked out October 14 for the actual on-sale date — presumably for the US and other first-world countries, at least.
According to an unnamed source attending a recent "internal Apple Retail Store meeting," a senior Store Leader apparently remarked how that particular day would be an "immense" one for the company, whose brick-and-mortar stores are expected to be busy all month long.
The report has raised eyebrows in many circles, considering every iPhone launch since the first-generation handset in 2007 has taken place on a Friday, yet October 14 very clearly falls on a Tuesday this year.
Enough for everyone?
The only explanation offered by the source for swapping the day of the week was "high customer demand," which seems to be motivating Apple to ramp up iPhone 6 production to unprecedented levels in order to keep "an ample supply" available.
A separate report earlier this month outlined plans for a mid-September Apple event to take the wraps off iPhone 6 and iOS 8, with a second event penciled onto the calendar in October to announce the release of OS X 10.10 Yosemite, Mac and iPad product refreshes and possibly even a launch for the rumoured iWatch....

Has iPhone 5C proved Steve Jobs right?
By: Rampaul singh
Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who emphasized high-end consumer gadgets over cheaper ones, may have been right all along. Last month, chief executive officer Tim Cook introduced the colorful iPhone 5C, a less-expensive version of Apple's smartphone, to "serve even more customers" around the world. It turns out people so far are more interested in its pricier, feature rich cousin, the 5S.

Apple's Approval : BlackBerry Messenger
for iPhone waiting for Apple's approval
However, it appears that the wait could be over soon as a BlackBerry representative has confirmed that the BBM app for iOS was submitted for Apple's App Store approval two weeks ago.
Alex Kinsella of BlackBerry posted on Twitter that BBM for iPhone was submitted for review two weeks ago. This implies that the app could arrive anytime on the App Store, provided Apple approves it.
BlackBerry had announced plans to extend BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) to Android and iOS in May, saying that the app would be available before the end of summer.
Just a few days back, a walkthrough video revealing the features of the BBM Android app had appeared online. The video suggested that the BBM app would sport features similar to the BlackBerry Messenger's BlackBerry OS version, and that it would also include NFC-based sharing through Android Beam.
However, the video was pulled down by the site on the request of the Canadian handset maker.
It was also reported that the BlackBerry Messenger app would be official by the end of this month and that it would be available through respective app stores for both Android and iPhone users.
Prior to that, a landing page dedicated to BBM surfaced on the official site of the company, claiming that the BBM service had arrived for both, Android and Apple platforms. The dedicated page for the service said, "BBM for Android and iPhone is here." This page was also pulled and was replaced with a launch page that said, "BBM is coming to Android and iPhone" and included an option to get notified when the service launches through an email prompt.
Presently, BlackBerry Messenger or BBM allows BlackBerry users to seamlessly exchange texts, audio, videos and pictures with each other. However, a number of cross-platform mobile messaging apps including WhatsApp, WeChat and Line have taken over as preferred choices since they are available on a variety of platforms. When it comes to the iPhone, BBM would also compete with Apple's own iMessage platform that allows users who own Apple devices to send each other free messages over a data connection.

One month from today Apple will announce the
iPhone 5S to the world at a press conference, according to a report today.
The iPhone 5S launch event is said to be
scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 10, claimed sources who spoke to AllThingsD.
Previous rumors point to the next smartphone
having a bumped up processor, likely the Apple A6X or the A7, a better camera
to compete with the 13-megapixel Samsung Galaxy S4, and superfast LTE-Advanced.
There's also a lot of anticipation surrounding a
possible fingerprint sensor, which is thought to be used to unlock the
smartphone in addition to other security-related functions.
One item on Apple's agenda we know about for
sure regards hearing more details about the launch of iOS 7, its fresh take on
the mobile operating system that was first unveiled in June.
Cheaper iPhone, too?
Also expected on stage at next month's Apple
press conference is an all-plastic, cheap iPhone model, currently being called
the iPhone 5C.
The rumored budget-friendly smartphone would be
a first for the company, with leaked images pointing to multiple colors in
addition to a cheaper price.
Photos purported to be from factories in China
seem to indicate at least five colors: red, blue, yellow, green and white.
