FREE iPhone 5c

Sprint offering free iPhone 5c to carrier switchers

Now that the latest iPhones have debuted, it's time for the most wonderful time of the year. No, not Christmas -- it's cellular providers undercutting each other for market share! Sprint is the first one out of the gate, with a new promotion launching September 20 with the iPhone 5c. Customers who switch their phone number over to Sprint will get US$100 off any new phone, including the new iPhone 5c and 5s.

Why a disembodied finger can't be used to unlock the Touch ID sensor on the iPhone 5s

When a lot of folks think of fingerprint-scanning technology, they often assume there's a single way to do it, but nothing could be further from the truth. Killer Game

back to iOS devices
Are smartphones and tablets all the same? Or are there killer apps that still make people choose one brand over another?

Clash of Clans. Available on the Apple App Store -- and only the Apple App Store.

I'm not a big believer in killer apps, but I might have to revise that thinking. A game only for iOS has pulled me and one of my boys back to our iOS devices this summer. It's a sign how even as Apple faces challenges from a growing Android ecosystem, it still has plenty of pull.
