When security analysts look at the potential weaknesses in a system, they talk about how much "surface area" is exposed to risk. Mobile computing is an incredible convenience but it has also sizably increased our personal surface areas. Jawbone's UP24 Makes Its Way to Android

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    By Katherine Noyes LinuxInsider

It seems incomplete -- to say the least -- for any mobile app to limit itself to iOS. Jawbone may have had good reasons for choosing to release its fitness tracker before it was ready for Android, but it still meant having to ignore a huge market segment. Now that it has rectified that omission, Jawbone may have vastly improved its chances of making it big in the wearable fitness market.

Red Hat's new JBoss BPM Suite is in part the result of its 2012 acquisition of Polymita, noted 451 Research analyst Carl Lehmann. The addition of that technology and other new features brings Red Hat's BPM offering on par with other BPM suites and "gives Red Hat some competitive differentiation in the market," he said. "I think they did a pretty good job there."

TITANFALL  TO  THUNDERSTORM  GAMESTORE  SOON

Gamers who have been holding out for a better deal on an Xbox One may be lining up at retail outlets Monday night.
